A healthy glow in a bottle?

I have used Leighton Denny's nail polish for a while now, have become a facebook angel and I have even blogged about his polish but it seems Mr Denny has another string to his bow.
On TV Leighton always looks really healthy with a holiday glow, well if you work as hard as Leighton I wondered where the glow came from.
I then found out, Leighton has got together with tan expert James Harknett to create the perfect fake tan, Sun-believable self tan. So the secret is out and so is the product. With the promise that you won't smell like digestives or be streaky and orange.
The low down is that it is a foam and develops in 2-4 hours. It is said to last ten days.
Now I am a self-tan virgin so I was really worried about using this as I did not want to end up looking orange, and I didn't.

You get a bottle of tan mousse in a choice of medium or dark. I had the medium. You also get a mitt to ensure even coverage and you don't get the tell tale orange hand!
Before I started I exfoliated making sure that I paid extra attention to my knees and my feet, not just the bottom but up to my ankles.
I then started, with trepidation the tanning process.
The foam came out in a non scary latte shade, I put in on my mitt and rubbed it in circular motions. I started at my feet and worked my way up.
It was just like rubbing moisturiser in, it just required a bit more attention. The colour of the product helped me to see where I needed to massage a bit more.
I managed to get it done in 45 minutes but I think if I was more used to tanning it would be quicker.
It did start to develop straight away and I ended up a sunkissed colour with no streaky bits.

I would say the medium would suit blonde to mid brown hair with a lighter skin tone. The darker I would say olive skin and hair dark brown and darker.
Seven days later the tan was still looking good. I would certainly use it again as it is not a scary as others out there. Plus the other good side as there was no smell!!

A new week a new colour!!!

Happy Monday Ladies!! Ok so I know that Monday's are not great so what can we do to make them a little better?
Today I have not been feeling that great to be honest after a week of my back and legs being in pain and shaking like a leaf,  I am still getting over it but the good news is I am not shaking any more so I have jumped at the stillness of my hands and painted my nails. As you have seen from my couple of posts on nail polish I keep the strong colours confined to my big hobbit feet... not this time! I have taken the plunge and painted my nails a bright what I would call cherry red.

Leighton Denny polishes seem to be my brand of choice at the moment. They go on smooth and this Red called Indulgence is ready to take the spot light within two coats. These polishes last me 5 days without chips and to avoid wear at the tips remember to take your clear top coat over the edges of your nails.
I must admit that I am becoming addicted to these polishes and I am a proud member of Leighton's angels on face book.
As you can from my nails this red looks great on pale skin like mine.

I am meant to be saving for my wedding but a bottle a month can't hurt can it???

Wonder what shade I choose for next week?

Leighton Denny nail Angel or nail God?

I have watched Leighton Denny on QVC for what feels like forever. When ever his show come's on tv it is like a private consultation with Leighton, so leave me alone lol
Apart from being a cheeky chappy you can tell that Leighton is really passionate about what he does and also really genuinely cares about his customers. This has led me to this post.

I have always painted my toe nails, going for deep vibrant colours but I have never had the confidence to paint my finger nails. When ever I have tried before the polish was streaky and took 4 coats that of course smudged before they were dry. Or they chipped within a day....I hate that!!
Any way recently I have had to take a lot more care in the appearance of my nails. Having just gotten engaged I didn't want to feel self concious when showing off the rock.
After forever watching Leighton I felt I could trust his brand and took the plunge for the second time in a month lol

I bought the French fascination set, it has every thing to start off a fab collection

As you can see the set is mainly for French tips but don't let it fool you there are so many looks to be had. As you can see there is  Amazing Grey, a shade that can be worn sheer or full coverage and also included is Cascade, a clearish top coat with the best sparkle ever.

I attempted a French manicure first, I did not hold out much hope because last time I went near white polish more ended up on my skin than nails!

Look at the results!!
All thanks to Precision Corrector!
Use the little brush and Corrector to make a clear edge to the tips.

Amazing!!Leighton is a nail God!

The polishes are easy to apply, go on even and last forever!!
Next time I am totally going to go for Amazing Grey with a coat of cascade

I am going to be buying even more collections I just know it, but shhhh don't tell the hubby 2b lol

Thanks Leighton it was worth the wait!
Verdict... Nail God!!!!
