Pay it forward

A couple of days ago I posted a review about Decleor's Neroli oil. Have any of you looked in to their oils yet? Or indeed did it change your minds about using oils on your face? I hope so!
Anyway today I am switching my focus to a moisturising cream, yet it's still not a boring, normal one.

Decleor Excellence  Regenerating cream.
This moisturiser is for mature skins so I passed it on to someone who fits the bill better than myself.
When I asked for her opinion this is what she said; "The first thing that you notice about this cream is the smell, it's gorgeous and to me that is always a sign that I am going to give it a fair try, shallow I know but still true."
"I have my trusted day cream that I have used for years that is a well know chemist brand and I didn't really want to switch from it as I know it's suits me. Sam advised I used this as a night cream. I gave it a go and I am glad that I did. A little bit of luxury is always welcome before you go to bed as I find it makes you feel a bit special, almost like you are pushing the boat out a bit."
"This cream goes on well and sinks in brilliantly especially around the parts that are looking a bit tired now. I never saw the point of using a night cream when a day cream would do the job but after using this, I won't be going back as I can see the improvement."
"It's great that my skin is less dry now and although not wrinkle free it is a bit more plumped up with less really fine lines. It is the over all tone of my skin that has impressed me and converted me to this cream and I won't be changing!"

Now the lady in question does not want me to print her name in the fear that people who know her will be scrutinising her face!

You are never too old to fall in love with lotions and potions!

A Oil for a Goddess!!

A 27 year old doing a review on anti-ageing skin care....really? Well yes I am. No I have not got a sign of a wrinkle but whether that is down to good genes, a good skin care obsession or just down to plain old luck I am not sure but I know I am not going to chance any of those going to waste!
Yes I may be starting early but I am jumping on the anti-ageing wagon and slapping some good stuff on my skin.
I find creams a bit too heavy for my skin at the moment(that will be because your under 30 I hear you shout) so I have turned to oils on a night to do the job. I really love oils and whether it's body oil, face oil or indeed one to cleanse with I am not scared. At one time people used to believe that using a oil on your skin would cause spots and grease and all sorts of nasties, well that may be true if you slather on cooking oil but believe it or not oils of today are good for your skin.

I was given the chance to try L'Occitane's Organic Very Precious Regenerating Concentrate, wow what a mouthful!
This concentrate is a oil and is packed with so much goodness you can't not want to massage it on your skin.
Being part of L'Occitane's Immortelle range it has the name sakes essential oil equivalent of 3,000 flowers, this keeps your collagen doing what it's meant to.
FYI it also contains geranium extract, sunflower, borage and evening primrose oil all helping to delay the signs of ageing and keep that bloom to the skin.

Now that is down I can tell you what I like about this oil. After cleansing and toning I massage this oil on my face and down my neck. The smell is amazing and I find it aids relaxation, which helps me sleep better which in turn helps out my skin! I have never really paid attention to my neck and décolleté but the skin looks more even in tone since using this oil. My skin on on my face has evened out a little and the oil does seem to pack a punch when used over night. It is not at all greasy and sinks in quickly.

Would I buy this.... Yes I think I would, saying that this bottle is going to last me for ages!

I am a lucky girl!!!!!

The nice people at Elemis recently sent me some goodies to try. To say that I was excited was an understatement!!
I have tested a range from skincare to bath and body care. You can tell from the moment that you unpack the products that they are from a serious and divine brand that has a place in a lot of 5* hotels and spas around the world and Elemis tends to be a lot of therapists first choice when they are pampering clients from top to toe.

Elemis have recently brought out a brand new cleanser, It is a cream cleanser that is removed with a special mitt. Elemis have been working on this cleanser for a long time so are very proud that it has finally hit shelves and bathrooms of all Elemis fans.
Elemis Pro-radiance cleanser is a thick non foaming cleanser that is a new generation of anti aging cleanser that deeply moisturises. All skin type can use this to be honest not just mature skins.
The smell of this cleanser is amazing, as usual Elemis have packed the product full of powerful yet sweet smelling essential oils working along side other good for skin ingredients.
The smell that hits me most is that of more well known oil such as Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Patchouli but they have also included the gorgeous smelling Sweet Brazilian Orange, yummy.
All these gorgeous oils along with essential plant extracts work together to purify the skin without stripping it so it feels lovely and moisturised when you are finished.
Normally I don't like cream cleansers because I prefer using water on my face but this cleanser comes with a flannel mitt that you use to wipe off the sweet smelling cream. The mitt is not harsh so if you have areas of soreness it should not irritate the skin but like always I would say go steady at first.
You don't use a lot as it spreads nicely as you warm it up as your are rubbing it on your face. It is the massage that loosens the dirt on your face that the mitt then lifts off.
I prefer to use this cream at night as it is perfect to take off make up as it is really good at that, even mascara as the mitt gets into all the little nooks and crannies such as round your nose and your eye brows. The smell is also really relaxing so is perfect to use with your night time oils and creams.
I have been using this for about two weeks now and my skin does feel nicer when I wake up in the morning and people have been saying that my skin tone is clearer without make up whoop!
